My Opinion About RetroPornArchive:
There's a certain allure to vintage hardcore in my opinion. Sure, it may not represent the highest standard of porn, but there's something uniquely fascinating about old stag films and French postcards, and for those who love immersing in a different era altogether to get your rocks off, there's the Retro Porn Archive.
The RetroPornArchive isn't quite as simple as receiving porn from the bygone days. While the tour didn't seem to say it, I found a whole slew of more modern video sites, although I am not sure if they actually come with a membership. In fact, there are a total of nine sites and many of these are homemade and voyeur style sites. UpskirtCollection, SecurityCamsFuck, HomemadeVids, HomeSpyVideo, ObsceneOffers, PrivateHomeClips, StudentSexParties, TaxiSpyVideo and WildXXXParties are all profiled more than the original content, but whether they are up for grabs when you enter the members' area is not promised.
At first, it was hard to tell where one might find the retro porn, but at the top of this page you can link to either softcore or hardcore galleries. Obviously, these old black and whites have been circulating for quite some time, so I wouldn't say that they're exactly exclusive. However, I have seen a number of vintage porn sites and I must admit that this one probably houses the most and the best of it, and from several different eras.
I wouldn't say that there are galleries, since the sets, when the thumbnails aren't simply individual images, don't often contain more than maybe three images. However, there are 57 hardcore pages and 573 softcore pages to browse. I didn't happen to come across any colour photos, but it's quite possible that they exist, since it was near impossible to get through each and every page. The photos really vary, and while some may be as small as 411x576, there are larger 740x738 pictures as well. The diversity of theme and content is as wide as the timeline that these pictures span. There are really early turn-of-the-century photos and the most recent I found appeared to be from the 1960's flower-power generation. Some images are grainy, some are crisp, but I can't really say that there's a set style or consistency other than that the images are generally clear and obviously shot on 35mm or medium format.
In all honesty, I didn't anticipate coming across videos, but there are those as well. I really can't tell you an exact number since the site didn't really categorize or title them, but there are 19 pages of hardcore and eight pages of softcore clips. Again, the quality depends on the decade that the movies were shot. In the hardcore gallery, it looks like the newest film was a 1200Kbps .avi. In fact, all the videos I found are in the same format, and you will have to download them to view.
It seems obvious that the movies and photos are from days-gone-by, because I just can't imagine a porn producer going through all the trouble to get costumes, lingerie and briefs from different times or even hiring make-up artists and hair stylists to emulate different decades. There's plenty of hairy twat and cock for the reality fan, and there's all sorts of blowjobs, lesbians and hardcore-fucking to get you off.
Final Verdict:
For those who get off on porn through the ages, RetroPornArchive has probably the largest and most diverse range of vintage hardcore that I can think of, and it's all quite worth your while. Considering the hard-to-come-by content, the price is good, although I'd really love to see some better organization to make navigating the wide range of decades and types of porn all the easier.
